The short version
- We collect what you give us through our forms, plus anonymous statistics about how our public pages are used.
- We use it to respond to you, do our work, and run our business.
- We never sell your information, we don't run ads, and we don't share your information for anyone else's marketing.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, free evaluation, booking page, or newsletter signup, we collect what you enter: usually your name, email address and organization, plus whatever you choose to share, such as your evaluation answers, a message, or notes for a meeting. Clients with a portal account also have a sign-in email and the project records we keep together.
Usage statistics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our public pages: which pages are viewed, the type of device and browser, approximate location (country and city), and how people arrived, for example from a search engine or a link. Google Analytics never receives what you type into our forms. We also configure it to:
- leave out the client portal and our sign-in, password and booking-management pages entirely;
- strip identifiers from page addresses before anything is sent;
- keep Google signals and ad personalization turned off. We don't use analytics data for advertising.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an id) so it can tell one visit from another. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland get a cookieless version: no analytics cookies are set, and Google receives only anonymous signals.
When you sign in to the client portal, we set one cookie that keeps you signed in. It is required for the portal to work and is not used for tracking.
Who handles your information for us
We use a small number of service providers. They process information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
- Google: Google Analytics (usage statistics); Google Calendar and Google Meet (a meeting you book becomes a calendar invitation with your name and email); and Gemini (the request assistant inside the client portal).
- Stytch: sign-in for client accounts.
- Resend: delivers our email, such as confirmations, evaluation results and notifications.
- Mautic: manages our newsletter list, if you subscribe.
- The hosting and file-storage providers that run this website and store project documents.
How we use it
- To reply to you, deliver your evaluation, and hold the meetings you book.
- To carry out client engagements and keep their records.
- To send our newsletter, if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages are useful and how people find us.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics data is deleted automatically after no more than 14 months. Form submissions, bookings and client records are kept as long as we need them to work with you and to meet our business and tax record-keeping obligations.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, through our contact page.
- Block analytics with your browser's cookie or tracking-protection settings, or with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
